| “The
‘integration’ in Tinavor Cottage was natural and created
a good atmosphere to learn.” |
 |
| Students
either live with Lynn and John at Tinavor Cottage, which is our
home, or with a host family nearby. The accommodation is simple.
Students have their own bedroom and share a bathroom. At Tinavor
we cook and eat together and the food is mostly vegetarian. We have
a no smoking policy.
Students are encouraged to be involved with activities at Tinavor, cooking, gardening, music making etc.

“A beautiful place to stay”

| Tinavor
Cottage was built circa 1750. It has a mature garden with many trees
including an oak tree estimated to be 350-500 years old, a small
vegetable patch and pond. It is a 5 minute ride by bicycle or a
15-minute walk across the fields and along the River Avon to South
Brent.
From the house it is a short walk to the open moorland of Dartmoor.
South Brent is a small village with 2 pubs, 1 cafe, a baker, 2 food
shops, a newsagent, post office, health centre, dentist, several
churches and a few small shops and businesses. There is also a small
art gallery.
