Who is this course for?
Each course is designed around the language needs and interests of the student/s. It is for people who want to learn and improve their English in a relaxed and quiet setting and prefer a one-to-one learning situation.
It is also for people who enjoy walking, being in the countryside and want to see some of the lovely places in South Devon. We plan the afternoon programme together and visit the places you would like to visit.

When?  Private students can come at times when there are no fixed courses except Christmas and New Year, such as January, March, June or November. Please check availability first.

Arrive Sunday, depart Saturday.
We recommend a 2 week stay

Cost:  One-to-one costs £800 per week and includes tuition, half board accommodation and the afternoon programme. *
          Two-to-one costs £480 per person per week incl.
          Three-to-one costs £400 per person per week. (if you are in a shared bedroom). ***
          Three or four-to-one costs £450 per person per week (single room). ***

Full programme Monday – Friday approximately 30 hours per week.

• English Tuition 9am -12 Monday to Friday.
• Coastal and Dartmoor walks and visits to some of the lovely towns of South Devon including Totnes, Dartmouth and Salcombe.
• Half board vegetarian accommodation at Tinavor Cottage or in a host family.
•  Collection from Totnes Station on arrival (before 6pm Sunday).
• Registration

One-to-one short intensive. £180 per day (24h) plus £30 for first night’s accommodation, for 6 hours of lessons or programme daily and half board accommodation. Minimum 3 days eg arrive Sunday evening, lessons on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, depart Thursday morning.

Extra lessons, if requested are charged at £30 per hour and must be arranged when you book.

*If you come for one-to-one private lessons it is sometimes possible to bring a friend/partner who does not want the English lessons. This costs £200 per week and includes the afternoon programme and half board accommodation. This is only possible if you both agree to speak English.
*** Come with your ‘friends’, ‘Book Group’, ‘Walking group’, ‘Beginners Class’ or ‘English Conversation Class’, ‘CAE’ Class etc and we can plan a course to suit your interests. Group price includes accommodation.
